Review of 'WorkingHours Newsletter', UK based home business
Newsletter
Not many of the smaller home business newsletters make it to their three
year birthday party --- So it's great to see Martyn Brown's 'WorkingHours
Newsletter' celebrate with a bumper May/June issue.
Having subscribed for nearly two years , I've always looked forward to
Martyn's newsletter coming through my letterbox.
With a healthy mix of news and reviews of home business 'opportunities'
(of the better kind - thanks Martyn), ideas on tackling home business
life, an adverts section, news about the current 'scams', and always some
light hearted content added for good measure, WH always has something
relevant for you in each issue.
The last few months WH has even managed to spawn a younger sibling in
the shape of 'Working Hours Internet'. Exploring internet related business
start-ups, websites workings, internet bargains and resources, this makes
WH a good solid package of information.
This issue for example had information on: How to write headlines that
sell; Warnings about debt collection companies; Details of a suspended
ceiling cleaning manual - don't laugh, they say earnings of £180
an hour are achievable; An agency to sell 'Phone Buddy' cards - second
numbers for your mobile, ideal for your business face; A cd and dvd agency;
Avril Harper contributes an article on problem solving; and Product reviews,
scam warnings, and more. And that's only the 'offline' WH.
One particular feature that impresses is the feedback form. It doesn't
come with every issue, but Martyn does his best to keep in touch with
his readership by asking them what they want. Sounds so simple, but there
are mags out there that assume - and assume wrongly that they know what
people want.
You can subscribe for a year for £22.97 (oh, you also get a free
classified ad every month you stay as a subscriber), or you can try a
sample copy for four first class stamps or six second class stamps (UK
only) sent to Martyn here:

saving of up to £39.00 per ad."
