Review of Joe Kumar's "30 Days to Internet Marketing Success - Volume 1"

Joe Kumar is a self-confident, brash 18 year old. He had an idea, and followed it through (how many of us would have had the bottle to go with this idea...)

He sent out this email challenge to some of the top recognised internet marekters:

"Hey,

Not everyone replied, but enough for Joe to create this book '30 Days to Internet Marketing Success'.

So what are the writer's credentials? It's easy to say that you're making money online, but are these people really successful?

Well straight out I recognise 14 names from my day to day dealings. They have their own products, ezines, affiliate schemes - I either know, or know enough about these people to say that they are definitely successful internet entrepreneurs.

Taking half an hour to have a look at some of the other names, and I'm reassured that they have earned the right to use the title 'successful'.

Well, the information is from the 'horse's mouth', but is it worth anything? With so many 'guaranteed success' this and that books around, it is really easy to feel that they're all crap.

Phil Wiley is one of the names I instantly recognised. Renown as one of the experts on building 'mini-sites', and having published the ebook 'Mini Site Profits' (you can find out more about Phil and his ezine 'All the Secrets' here - new window opens), his was one of the sections that I went to first.

Phil went through his regular plan of creating profitable mini-sites - discovering popular affiliate programs to join and creating a web site around them. The 'trick' to creating any successful mini-site is to know what niche to choose, and Phil very generously shares the research tools he uses every week to create his family of sites.
One point that most people seem to forget or ignore is that it's the number of mini-sites that matter. A single mini site may 'only' produce £30/40 a month, but 10 = £300/400pm - 100 = £3000/4000 a month. And as using Phil's method you can create several sites a week, it doesn't take a genius at maths to work out what a few months evenings effort could start to bring in.

I'm scanning through the book quickly now to choose another contributor to review - and just the act of scanning some of their bio's is making me feel good - it's always cheery to be reminded of success, with so many people just 'out there' to bring you down! Ah, that's better ... okay, back to business

Another familiar name - especially if you are a 'Internet Marketing Warrior' is Bryan Kumar. A respected author (Email Marketing Strategies Revealed) - on internet marketing, owner of several profitable websites, and recognized as someone who likes simplifying overly complicated marketing techniques and internet strategies - time being your most precious asset (I can wholeheartedly agree with you on that one Bryan).

Online since 1995, Bryan starts off his section with something nothing to do with the internet, but something of vital importance - Your Mind. If your mindset isn't right, nothing you do will work - get your mind, your whole being supporting you and life becomes a whole lot easier.

Going back to Joe Kumar's challenge, "you've lost everything", Bryan looks at what you have left, and works from the basis of starting again using your exisitng know-how - whatever it is.
Now that's a time saving tip.
Bryan starts at rebuilding that self confidence, showing you how to relax, helping you to find the passion in your life that will create the energy that you need to get there - wherever your there happens to be.

Hey, what's this got to do with internet marketing? Hold on! That's just the start, Bryan now takes you by the hand and shows you how to create your own product (starting out with other people's information) and market it for no cost. This isn't wishful thinking either, Bryan used and continues to use these very same techniques to develop his businesses. Okay, I've got over 300 pages on this website already, so I'm not going to add another 10 just to review this one book - suffice it to say that it is packed with information - proven and practical information from 'the names' in the business.

There is enough variety in approach, subject matter and style for much of it to appeal to most of you.

If there had to be one challenge with this book, it has to be with the amount of information. I solved this pretty easily by simply printing out a few sections by my favorites (Hi Phil, Hi Bryan), and I suggest you do the same. Go through it, find the people that you can identify with, that meet your needs right now, and print out their sections. Then follow their advice - The only excuse you have is yourself if you don't follow through - It's all here, so do it.
